Lee County Sheriff's Office PRESS RELEASE

Sheriff Gary Parsons said on January 7, 2023 Agents with the Southwest Virginia Drug Task Force along with Deputies of the Lee County Sheriff's Office conducted an operation at a car wash in Jonesville.

During the operation four ounces of Methamphetamine with a street value of $5000 was seized along with three handguns and an AR style rifle. During the arrest the male subject was non-compliant with Officers and force had to be used to place subject in custody.

Arrested were Oral Douglas Engle age 54 of 2607 S Memorial Drive Greenville North Carolina and Jennifer Janson age 54 of 6607 Hearne Road Apartment 92 Cincinnati Ohio.

Both suspects were charged with Distribution of a Schedule 2 Narcotic, conspiracy, transporting more than one ounce of a schedule 2 Narcotic into the Commonwealth of Virginia, and being in Possession of a firearm while being in possession of a schedule 2 narcotic.

Both subjects are being held at the Duffield Regional Jail with no bond.
